About Current Plans
Current Plans is an alternative art space in Hong Kong dedicated to the development of contemporary art projects. Since 2020 it has been supporting creative experimentations that cross disciplines, stimulating knowledge exchange and encouraging connections that push the boundaries of exhibition-making. Our multi-disciplinary program is where diverse art forms collide in unexpected ways, from dancing parties, cooking sessions, experimental gigs, art residencies and more, at its core lies a spirit of playfulness and interaction.

‘포크 나이프(Pork Knife)’는 홍콩의 풍부한 문화적 유산에서 영감을 얻어, 상징적인 영화 <007 북경유랍(From Beijing with Love)> 특유의 황당함과 블랙 유머를 새롭게 조명합니다. 심수이포(Sham Shui Po)의 전설적인 ‘륭팀 챱퍼스(Leung Tim Choppers Factory)’ 식도를 본떠 제작된 8개의 스톤웨어 에디션은 폭력적이고 산업적인 무기를 섬세한 아름다움을 지닌 정교한 예술품으로 변주해 냅니다. 작가는 거친 모래질 스톤웨어의 질감을 활용하여, 홍콩의 잔혹하면서도일상적인 주방 도구를 취약하면서도 영속적인 문화적 유물로 재치 있게 재해석하는 위트 있는 시도를 보여줍니다.
About the Artist
타이거 웡 호룬(Tiger Wong Ho Lun, 홍콩, 1984년 출생)은 RMIT 대학에서 공부하던 시절 도자기를 주요 창작 매체로 삼았습니다. 흙이 가진 촉각적인 성질에 매료된 그는 다양한 재료의 본질적인 특성을 탐구하며, 관습을 벗어난 기법으로 이를 변형해 자연스럽고 자발적인 형태가 돋보이는 작품들을 선보입니다. RMIT에서 도예 학사를 취득한 그의 작품들은 현재 홍콩과 중국의 공공 기관 컬렉션에 소장되어 있습니다.
